Wednesday, 4:32 p.m update — These are unofficial results per the Greene County Clerk’s office and only include the top two competitors for each Ward:
Ward 1:
Troy Smith — 17 votes
Donna Garber Stewart — 16 votes
Total votes — 61
Ward 2:
David Keene — 22 votes
Rachel Daley — 6 (Dailey?)
Total votes — 62
Ward 3:
Scott Swatosh — 28 votes
Rahela Petian — 9 votes
Total votes — 54
Per this April ‘22 KY-3 interview with former city clerk Jennifer Rowe:
“Once the county is done counting all the votes [the City of Willard] get[s] a certified copy of the results with all the names that were written in and all the votes they had.“
“It’s then [a city clerk’s] job to vet if they live in that ward and if they’re eligible to serve in that position. Then we call each one to see if they’re interested in taking it.”
